Hello! A lot has happened since I last blogged, most notably that Pier and I went on vacation to cycle the Rhine River from its origin point in Switzerland all the way through France and Germany!

But we haven’t had time to blog about that yet, because when we got back to Toronto in September, we had a whole bunch of local rides and events to attend. Four of which we made into short videos…

1) Bromptoberfest 2025

This ride was founded in NYC by the Brompton New York Meetup group, which our friend Janet participated in when she lived there. She’s since brought the tradition home to Toronto, and this was our 3rd annual Octoberfest-themed Brompton ride! And we kicked it off with a blindfolded folding contest…

We met at Pedaal Bikes & Coffee and organized through Brompton Toronto on Meetup.

2) Cranksgiving 2025 – Fold n’ Go to Burlington

This has also become an annual tradition! Every year on Thanksgiving weekend (which is in October in Canada), we get together with some friends for a ride. This year we took the GO Train to Burlington and cycled 64km back to Toronto on the Waterfront Trail.

3) Christie Cross

Christie Pits Park was transformed into a cycle cross racetrack! We didn’t race, but we did a lot of cheering! It was so much fun that we’re considering entering the Adult Try-a-race next year with our Bromptons. Keep your eyes on this event here: https://www.christiecross.ca/

4) The Great Pumpkin Pedaal Parade

Closing off the month of October was a costumed Halloween ride…
