While on a work trip to Cologne, Germany, we managed one day of sightseeing on a couple rental bikes. Afterwards, we visited the Brompton bike shop and test road another folding bike that’s not yet available in Canada.

Starting from the Jacques Cartier bridge, we biked a loop of Montreal via La Piste de la Riveraine on the South Shore, the St. Lawrence Seaway dyke, and the Ice Bridge! An amazing ride thanks to the wonderful cycling infrastructure in Montreal.

As we cycled closer to the more touristy area of the Yucatan Peninsula (the east coast), the roads became bigger and busier. We couldn’t take quiet state roads anymore; it was time to hit the highway!

After walking around Izamal to see the Convento and the Kinich-Kakmó pyramid, we cycled the scenic route to Chichen Itzá… which dead-ended at a goat path with actual goats.
