As we cycled closer to the more touristy area of the Yucatan Peninsula (the east coast), the roads became bigger and busier. We couldn’t take quiet state roads anymore; it was time to hit the highway!

After walking around Izamal to see the Convento and the Kinich-Kakmó pyramid, we cycled the scenic route to Chichen Itzá… which dead-ended at a goat path with actual goats.
